SUZE RANDALL - The Legend of Erotic Photography
1970's 1970's Infamous erotic photographer Suze Randall was a London fashion model who attracted a lot of press attention in the early 1970's when she began shooting naughty pin-up pictures of her model girlfriends.
1975 Intrigued by the story of model-turned-photographer, in 1975 Playboy's Hugh Hefner flew her out to the USA for a behind-the-lens assignment in Los Angeles. Suze photographed the 1975 Playmate-of-the-Year Lillian Muller and subsequently stayed on as a Playboy staff photographer. In 1977 she was snatched away from Hef by Larry Flynt but after two years at Hustler (Suze claims "It was like boot camp!") she began shooting freelance for magazines like Bob Guccione's Penthouse where she is now a regular contributor.
1980's With the porno chic boom of the late '70's, Suze began directing a series of high quality hardcore movies and videos. Among these was the popular video line Suze Centerfolds and a series of 35mm theatrical releases including Stud Hunters, Sky Foxes (left) and Too Naughty To Say No.
Suze's photos are syndicated in magazines worldwide. She shot the prestigious British Lamb's Navy Rum Calendar and has done album covers for recording artists as different as Peter Hook (New Order) and Robert Palmer. She shot a music video for Capital Records and videos for Penthouse as well as a video for Digital Underground which was considered too nasty for prime time.
Suze appeared on numerous radio and television shows including Terry Wogan (Britain), Mike Walsh (Australia), Tom Snyder (United States), MNET (South Africa), KCRW (Los Angeles). Her interview for Eye on LA has been one of ABC's most frequently re-run segments. Suze was profiled in Vanity Fair.
1990's Suze launches her own web site Suze.net in July 1998. It is an instant success and quickly becomes one of the most popular erotic photography sites on the Internet. Suze is profiled in the March 1999 issue of the prestigious magazine Photo District News.
2000's Suze is by far the most popular erotic photographer on the Internet. Suze.net wins the "Best Photography" Website at the Adult Video News Awards in Las Vegas in January 2000. The number of high resolution images on Suze.net tops 50,000 and growing every day. Suze launches a free site, Suze-Centerfolds.com, which is a tribute to the 400+ Sex stars who have been photographed by Suze.
2001 According to the premier Internet pay-for-position search engine Suze is the shooting star of cyberspace. Overture.com reports that surfers using their search engine searched for Suze Randall 25,097 times in November beating out pop icon Andy Warhol who was searched for 24,247 times. The photographer who came closest to Suze was legendary landscape lens man Ansel Adams with 14,589 searches.
2002 Suze's current project is an Internet video site http://www.Suze-Video.com which showcases documentary style coverage of her photo shoots and features candid interviews with the models.
